Hi Everyone,

This week Mrs Jackson would like you to design a postcard or draw and colour a beach scene.

The Year 1 team and I are dreaming of a lovely holiday visiting a beautiful beach, and would love to see some of your designs.

Send your pictures to us!

Here is an example of the beach painting you will have done at school.

Writing Challenge – Fathers Day – week beginning 15.06.20

Some ideas to help you celebrate Fathers Day on Sunday 21st June

These activities are designed to complete for anyone, you father, grandfather, uncle, or you can adapt it for your mother! We can guarantee that all someone needs on Fathers Day is a hug and a smile, but if you can or want to do something else, here are some ideas.

Don’t forget, the best cards are homemade – fold a piece of paper of card, draw a picture on the front and write a little message inside!

Design a holiday souvenir!

As we are all holiday dreaming, Mrs Jackson would like you to design a souvenir for a holiday destination you would like to go to. This could be a magnet, an image of the beach, a flag or maybe even a mountain scene.

Here are some pictures to help inspire you.

Monet’s poppies

As Friday this week is the 75th anniversary of VE Day, your art work challenge is to create your own version of Monet’s ‘Poppies’ painting.

You could use pencils, felt tips, crayons, paint, chalks, pastels, the choice is yours!

Here are some examples.

Don’t forget to send in photos of your art work to share on our Home Learning Gallery.

Butterfly art work – how will you create yours?

Paint it and fold it, draw it and colour it, how will you create your butterfly art?

You will find these pictures in the new Home Packs to use, or use your own paper. You could even make a family of different size butterflies, the choice is yours!

Van Gogh flowers

Draw some Van Gogh flowers in your workbook or on paper. If you have access to a printer, you could print the framed outline if you wish.

Here is an example of Mrs Jackson’s flower drawing in the style of Van Gogh.

You will also find a game. Roll a dice, the number will then give you a flower that you could draw.
